Local Plan - Land Development

The Parish Council were made aware a few days ago of the 'local plan' compiled by Shropshire Council. This indicates sites that have been promoted for possible future development. The validity of such sites is to be determined. There are a number of sites in and around Uffington that have been promoted, which include large swathes of current agricultural land, providing room for hundreds of houses and although this information is in the public domain, we felt it appropriate to share with our residents at this point in time given the importance.

We are in initial, early discussions regarding this. When we have enough information, we would aim to call a community meeting to share information we have gathered. If you have any details you would like to be included in our response to Shropshire Council please share these with our Chair prior to 13/7/26 by emailing “[email protected]”
