Uffington Speed Watch update

Uffington Parish Council have been contacted by our local Safer Neighbourhood Team to confirm that they conducted speed monitoring on 13th December 2024. PCs Lewis and Preston attended Church Road just in front of the Church and monitored the speed of vehicles as they came through the area. They are pleased to report that on this occasion not a single vehicle exceeded the 30mph limit for the entirety of the time in the area. It is their hope that in continuing this type of high visibility speed enforcement work, they can continue to combat the issue of speed in the parish.

The Parish Council is currently working with the Safer Neighbourhoods Team to organise Community Speedwatch Patrols in the area and is looking forward to getting this in place as soon as possible.
